One of the most joyful classes in global strategies is to observe how, thanks to your actions, conscious or not, a line of true history is distorted, forming an alternative story. Science fiction writers have been working on parallel worlds for years, in which the Romanovs are fighting with the empire of the third bismark, and you create such in a few presses on the buttons. Hearts of Iron IV not only complicates the player in this matter, but also willingly throws ideas.
But I warn, humor (and cynicism) here is professional.
Poland is inferior to the Germans
Remember how the Second World War began? Of course, remember. But I will voluntarily voiced for the Promise and convenience: the Third Reich demanded that Poland return the port city of Danzig, taken from the German Empire according to the results of the First World War. The Polish government did not agree, relying on the guarantees of protection from the UK, and now the Wehrmacht invades Poland, hiding behind an awkward provocation on the radio rack. But how war? How is Molotova-Ribbentrop Pact?! Yes to hell with them, gentlemen! After all, a chance appeared before the onset of the winter of 1939 to throw strength to the west! And immediately crush France, unless, of course, lucky. In fact, to whom this Poland surrendered?..
In the States, the Nazis win
In almost all countries of the Old and New World, the Nazis started, delighted with the regimes of Mussolini and Hitler. From afar, they observed epic parades, the victory of the Reich at the Olympic Games and the incendiary speeches of the Fuhrer-Demagogue, and the atrocities in the dungeons and hunting for the disagreements were mastered.
The Silver Legion of America is one of the most mediocre organized fascist currents outside the axis countries. And in general, America readily accepts a new faith: in Brazil, the integralists unleash the civil war and win, and in Argentina the phalangists, who were barely stretched out for three years. But Hearts of IRON IV is higher than the historical truth: a little initiative – and the story is relaxed at the seams.
Civil War in the USSR
At one time, under the pretext of “elimination of traitors”, the NKVD officers dealt a crushing blow to the officer and general composition of the Red Army. It is believed that the defeat of military officials prompted the Nazis to make a decision to attack the USSR.
But such ambiguous factors in Hearts of Iron IV are not taken into account. On the contrary, the game takes the paranoid ideas of the Soviet party leadership and realizes them! The longest national focus is dedicated to the notorious purges and consists of several stages: different courts, where generals, officers and even former Stalin's associates were accused of revolutionary proceedings.
If you do not choose cannibalistic options, but to let these processes “on the brakes”, the case will end with a civil war. Revengers and dreamers
The change of public regime in Hearts of Iron IV is almost always associated with the radical change in the political course, and the first sign of that is the name. The Swedes, who suddenly turned to fascism, return the country to the country the ancient name Svea Rike (it once came from it Sverige-the current self-name of Sweden). Obviously, the ideas of Scandinavian paganism were as attractive as in the case of Germany.
Neutral Türkiye, after the arrival of local fascists came to power, calls itself a neo -osman empire and claims all its previous possessions in the Middle East. Revanschist sentiments among the people, which lost in a recent war, is the best food for the development of fascism and nationalism.
